The network AdriaPan (www.adriapan.org) that joins the marine protected areas of Adriatic sea organized last 24-25 September a meeting titled “AdriaPan for EU MacroRegion. Adriatic Protected Areas Projects for Croatia EU admission”. The seminar took place in the marvellous Brjiuni National Park in Croatia and about 50 technicians and experts from Italy and Croatia participated.
Mr. Giulio Volpi of Starter presented during the meeting the main characteristics of a project for the improvement of the skills of the managers of Nature 2000 sites. Moreover he illustrated the state-of-the-art of the new European period programme 2014-2020 giving particular relevance to programmes that will allow initiatives for the conservation of nature and biodiversity in the Adriatic area and the new transboundary cooperation space Italy – Croatia.
A new appointment in December has been fixed by the participants in Trieste (MAP of Miramare) in order to make operative the new project ideas looking at the forthcoming new period programme.
