Heritage Plus Call for preserving and promoting cultural heritage

Heritage Plus is an Era-Net plus action which will support the Joint Programming Initiative (JPI) in Cultural Heritage and Global Change, by pooling national expertise and resources and fostering stronger cooperation among participating States in the filed of cultural heritage.
This Heritage Pus call represents a new funding opportunity for initiatives that will generate new, research-based knowledge with the aim of promoting the sustainable use and management of cultural heritage and to face with the challenges related to the development of the society.
The call aims to fund excellent collaborative, transnational, interdisciplinary, innovative R&D projects focussed mainly on tangible cultural heritage research, while not excluding the interlinked aspects of intangible and digital heritage. It concentrates on 3 broad topics:

  1. Safeguarding tangible cultural heritage and its associated intangible expressions
  2. Sustainable strategies for protecting and managing cultural heritage
  3. Use and re-use of all kinds of cultural heritage

The call will only consider applications from participating countries: Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom.
Project proposals will include 3-5 reasearch teams from eligible organisations, each based in a different participating country.
For this call each participating country has established specific eligibility criteria both for applicants and for costs as well as fixed the eligible maximum funding (see the guidelines).
The call has a 2-step selection procedure. This deadline is set for submitting pre-proposals until 28th April 2014.
