INFORMATION SEMINAR ON HORIZONTAL PROJECTS IN INTERREG MED PROGRAMME

On 22nd September, the Joint Secretariat of Interreg MED Programme held a seminar on Horizontal Projects (HP) in Marseille, at the Palace of Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur Region. This represents a new project type, whose aim is to capitalise at programme and European level the results achieved by modular projects (MP) in their respective territories.
POs’ core activity is represented by the creation of and support to communities involving all PMs that will be financed under each Specific Objective of Interreg MED Programme. More specifically, the Programme will finance:

  • In Priority Axis 1, three POs, each of them dealing with Green Growth, Blue Growth, and Social Innovation & Creative Industries, respectively
  • In Priority Axis 2, three POs, each of them dealing with Management of energy in public buildings, Renewable local energy sources, and Low carbon transport systems, respectively
  • In Priority Axis 3, two projects, each of them dealing with Sustainable and responsible coastal and maritime tourism, and Biodiversity and natural ecosystems, respectively.

Horizontal projects will activelty contribute to the programme communication and capitalisation by promoting transversal activities within their chosen Specific Objective. Moreover, the results of their activities will feed Axis 4 governance platform.

The call for the submission of project proposals will be launched on 10th November 2015 and will close on 11th January 2016 at 12.00.
